One of the biggest worries parents have when holidaying in Ireland is the weather. At Carleton Village we’ve taken the stress out of trying to think of things to do to keep the kids entertained if the dreaded ‘R’ shows up to try and ruin your day.

The Kids Club, Although we do like to vary our kids club activities to both outside and outside activities, we have enough paint, paper, stories and imagination to keep them occupied.
DVD Hire, Our guest can avail of free DVD hire from reception, we always have an up-to-date collection of cartoons and movies to keep them happy

Go to Perks Entertainment Centre, home to Blackbeard’s two storey play centre, bowling, laser tag, a merry-go-round, arcade games and for the grown ups an over 18’s Casino.
Visit Pat at the Foxes Lane Folk Museum and see how your great grandparents lived. Pat has a collection of household objects dating from the 1970’s to back as far as the 1870’s. Well worth a visit and very easy on the pocket
Visit Leahy’s Open Farm, just a 40 minute drive from Youghal Leahy’s indoor play area is ideal for a rainy day
Don’t be afraid to get a little bit wet, throw on your rain coat and visit Fota Wildlife park, don’t miss a visit to Fota House and Gardens, take the guided tour a be fascinated by the history of the area.
Visit Mahon Point a shopping paradise for all your big brands, a multiplex cinema and Food Court with a varied choice
You’re wet anyway, why not try dinghy sailing or kayaking.
Go to Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic and visit the Queenstown Story
Exercise your wallet and try a spot of shopping, Youghal and the surrounding has a varied array of shops with include boutiques, JackoPatsy Pottery, Ardmore craft and Pottery shop, The Kilkenny shop in Shanagarry, Art Gallery’s and Gift Shops!
The Jungle Gym in Midleton, located just 25 minutes from Youghal is indoor Jungle Gym suitable for the young family!
